ÁRHONDIKO  ZAMANI-TATI

The house is located at Geraneia, the lower quarter of Siatista,  on the main road. It is known to the people of Siatista  as "to spit(i) t'Zaman(i)" (Zamani's house).

In fact, the first owners of it were the Zamani's family. Zisis Zamanis is wellknown to Siatista people but also to the Greek world of education in general; he was  born on 1874,  and studied Greek literature at  Athens' University, had taken prizes and had been honored by the community with the silver and gold Cross of the George the First's order. The house bought Dimitrios Patronas by the Zamani's descendants  in 1954, and he gave it as dowry to his daughter Theodora Patrona Tati, who keeps being its owner. According to the 11th Trustee of Byzantine Antiquities, it is the unique architectonic sample of the Macedonian style.
